What is Stroll?

Stroll is a voice initiated dating app. It was conceptualized & created when the founders Claire & Loke were brainstorming over why there is such a huge stigma & friction towards meeting someone through dating apps.

Stroll was designed to make new connections easy & effortless – just like in real life. Amongst many other changes, the Stroll questions + voice chat skips past the “hey – how are you” phase and helps you jump right into the thick of it – Both of you already liked each other’s profile, no?

With the Stroll questions, it’s not just the answers you give, but also the questions you ask that reveal a lot about you as a person.

The voice initiated function allows users to naturally filter out Tone and Sincerity amongst many other “human” traits. You can text somebody for months and not get their vibe. But within the first few minutes of a real life conversation, you’d often know if they’re your tribe or not.

Well we can’t exactly bring you face to face, but this will do for now. (Goofy emoji thumbs up)

What is the minimum age requirement to use Stroll

You must be at least 18 years old to create a profile on Stroll.

How do I set my preferences?

To set your preferences:

1. Tap the Settings icon on the bottom right of the navigation bar and tap Preferences

2. Tap on the three dots on the top right corner of Daily Pool.

How do I get started on Stroll?

Stroll requires all users to verify their mobile number in order to create an account for safety and security purposes.

To create an account:

1. Download the Stroll app for iOS or Android

2. Verify your mobile number with SMS authentication

3. Connect a social account (Facebook, Apple ID or Google)

4. Fill in your basic profile information

5. Allow Stroll to access all necessary permissions

Where can I use Stroll?

Stroll is currently available in Singapore. Our team is working hard to expand our services to different regions around the world.

How do I setup my profile?

Stroll requires all users to setup their profile in order to view and swipe profiles and to be viewed by others.

To set up your profile:

1. Tap the Settings icon on the bottom right of the navigation bar

2. Tap the Edit Profile button below your name

3. Upload five photos, list two of your Top 3 Public Figures/Hobbies/Artists/Literature/Films (PHALF) and answer two prompt questions

4. Add your Stroll Question and caption to start matching!

Daily Pool

What is Daily Pool?

The Daily Pool is a curated pool of profiles shown to you everyday, refreshed at 9pm daily.

How many Likes can I send in a day?

Regular members can send up to 10 likes a day on Daily Pool. The number of likes available refreshes daily at 9pm SGT.

How do I report someone?

To report a user:

1. Tap the three dots located on the top right corner of the screen

2. Tap Report

3. Indicate your reason for the report

Reporting is an anonymous action. You will not see the profile that you report again, and neither will they see your profile.

What are Butterflies and what do they do?

Sending a Butterfly allows you to shoot your shot with your charming voice and insightful, witty thoughts even before matching. Butterflies also allow you to jump the queue when you really like a person.

Butterflies in Stroll doesn’t expire  Express your interest and stand out from the crowd using Butterflies.

Liking and commenting on profiles

To like someone’s profile, tap on the floating heart button on the right and you’ll see an option to Add a Comment. You can either tap Send a Like straight or type a comment and tap Send Like to confirm.

Likes with comments are more likely to receive a match.

Who Likes You

How do I view profiles of people who like me?

A numerical badge will appear on Likes You tab when you have incoming likes. Tap the heart icon in the middle of the navigation bar to view Who Likes You.

You can view each profile individually and must either pass or like a profile before you can view the next one. Profiles are shown in chronological order from the oldest to the newest profile.

Profiles that you pass will disappear and profiles that you liked back will be moved to the Matches tab.

How do I report someone who liked me?

To report a user who liked you:

1. Tap the three dots located on the top right corner next to the user’s name

2. Indicate your reason for the report

Reporting is an anonymous action. You will not see the profile that you report again, and neither will they see your profile.

Matches

How do I unlock a chat and start chatting?

Chats are first locked when you match with a user. To unlock a chat, you have to answer your match’s Stroll Question through voice recording.

Don’t overthink your answer, the idea is to show your most natural and authentic self to your matches!

Once both parties have submitted their voice answers, the chat will automatically unlock and you can chat as per normal.

You have three days to unlock a chat. Chats left unlocked for more than three days will disappear.

If you don’t want to miss out on any matches, turn on notifications on the Settings tab to receive alerts each time you receive a new match!

Can I delete a message?

I've sent my voice recording but the chat remains unlocked and/or disappeared.

Unfortunately, this means that your match did not attempt to unlock their chat with you. Locked chats will expire if left for more than three days after matching.

Why did my chat disaapear?

They probably unmatched you… I’m sorry bro/sis

I accidentally unmatched someone. Can I undo the action?

You will always receive a prompt to confirm your action when you hit Send. Unfortunately, you cannot send a recording again after you have submitted.

Account

Can I temporarily pause my Stroll account?

Yes, you can pause and unpause your account anytime.

To pause your account:

1.
Tap Settings tab

2. Tap Account

3. Toggle Pause Subscription to the on position

Your profile will no longer be shown to other users, but you’ll be able to continue chatting with your existing matches. Likes that you have given before you pause your account will still be received by the other person.

How do I manage my notifcations?

To manage your notifications:

1.
Tap Settings tab on the navigation bar

2. Tap Account

3. Look for the Notifications section

4. Toggle on Push notifications to receive alerts when someone has liked you back and chat notifications

5. Toggle on Email notifications to receive marketing updates and promotional discounts
